Founders & Apostolic Leaders
Dr. Arvind Ephraim and Pastor Subhashini Ephraim are the visionary and apostolic leaders behind The Refuge Mission Church India. Their journey is a testimony of divine calling, faith, and relentless obedience to God’s voice.
Dr. Arvind, originally from West Bengal, India, began his ministry preaching on the streets, sharing the Gospel with boldness and compassion. From humble beginnings—where gatherings took place in open areas and unlikely places—hundreds were saved, healed, and transformed. These early seeds of faith led to a powerful movement that would later grow into multiple church plants across India.
Pastor Subhashini, a South Indian native and the daughter of a pastor, was raised in a strong Christian home. After their God-ordained marriage, she became a steadfast support and partner in the ministry, not only in leadership but also in nurturing and discipling women and families within the church.
Together, they planted four thriving churches in India and launched the Churn Plantation Project, a missions initiative to reach rural communities with the love of Christ.
God sovereignly opened international doors, allowing Dr. Arvind to minister in the United States, Kuwait, and the UAE. During his time in America, divine connections were made with the leadership of The Refuge Mission Church USA in League City, Texas. United by vision and heart, this led to a spiritual covering and partnership under which The Refuge Mission Church India was birthed.
Dr. Arvind Ephraim holds two Doctorates and two Master’s degrees in Theology, and has authored over 100 Christian books, equipping the body of Christ in prayer, leadership, and biblical teaching.
Today, Dr. Arvind and Pastor Subhashini serve as elders and prayer pastors at The Refuge Mission Church USA, while continuing to provide spiritual oversight, mentorship, and leadership training for the churches in India. Under their guidance, a new generation of leaders has been raised up and is now faithfully shepherding the Indian branches of the ministry.
Together with their three children, they continue to model what it means to serve God as a family, walking in faith, humility, and a deep love for people.
Bro. Srikanto Pal
Men’s Ministry Leader
Brother Srikanto Pal is a devoted and faithful leader whose unwavering commitment has made him a backbone of The Refuge Mission Church India. As the leader of the Men’s Ministry, he encourages and strengthens the men of the church, raising them up to be spiritual leaders in their homes and community.
Despite managing a fish-selling business and operating a small store from his home, Brother Srikanto faithfully dedicates his time to prayer, intercession, and the growth of the church. His consistent presence, servant heart, and tireless work behind the scenes make him one of the most dependable pillars of the ministry.
Much like Epaphras in the New Testament (Colossians 4:12), he labors earnestly in prayer for the church, longing to see every believer grow mature and strong in the will of God. His life is a beautiful blend of humility, hard work, and deep spiritual passion.
Brother Srikanto is not only a leader—he is a testimony of what it means to serve with all your heart.
Bro. K.K.P. Chandra Sekhar (Ebenezer)
Elder | Leadership & Administration
Brother Chandrashekar, lovingly known as Ebenezer, is a faithful and obedient brother in God who has been a pillar in the ministry for many years. As a trusted elder and overseer, he provides leadership in the areas of church finances, administration, and ministerial responsibilities.
A man of deep prayer, wisdom, and encouragement, he carries a Barnabas-like anointing—strengthening others through his support, counsel, and unwavering faith. In addition to his ministry role, he also serves with excellence in the Indian Railways, balancing his professional and spiritual responsibilities with humility and grace.
Brother Ebenezer’s heart for God and commitment to the church make him a vital part of The Refuge Mission Church India’s leadership team.
Bro. A. Naresh Peter
Elder | Youth Leader
Brother A. Naresh Peter is a dedicated and hardworking leader who serves The Refuge Mission Church Indiawith excellence and humility. With a background in polytechnic engineering, he brings strong administrative and organizational skills to the ministry.
As both an elder and youth leader, he passionately mentors and disciples young men and women, helping them grow in faith, character, and purpose. He also serves as the principal of Acts 2×2 Preschools, faithfully overseeing four schools with vision and integrity.
Known for his strong prayer life, compassionate heart, and unwavering support for those in need, Brother Naresh is a true example of servant leadership in both the church and the community.
Sis. Ranjeeta
Worship Leader | Discipleship Mentor
Sister Ranjeeta is a gifted worshipper with a beautiful voice and a heart wholly devoted to leading others into the presence of God. Her passion is to raise up a generation of true worshippers—not just in talent, but in spirit and truth.
She faithfully trains and mentors men, women, and especially young people in the area of worship, while also investing in their overall spiritual growth and personal walk with God. Her leadership is marked by humility, excellence, and a deep desire to glorify Jesus.
In addition to her ministry, Sister Ranjeeta is a loving mother, joyfully raising two beautiful daughters. Even in her busy schedule, she takes time to visit homes, encourage believers, and strengthen families through prayer and fellowship.
Her life and voice are both instruments of worship—bringing healing, encouragement, and transformation wherever she serves.
Sis. Kajal Chowdhary
Prayer Ministry Leader | Home Church Coordinator
Sister Kajal Chowdary is a powerful woman of prayer and a passionate leader at The Refuge Mission Church India. As the head of the Prayer Ministry, she carries a deep burden for intercession and has played a key role in building and strengthening the prayer movement within the church.
With a heart for evangelism and women’s empowerment, she actively encourages, trains, and disciples women and men, raising them to be strong in the Lord. During the week, she leads home churches, visits families, and provides pastoral support to many in need.
In addition to her ministry responsibilities, Sister Kajal also serves in the Indian Railways, faithfully balancing her professional life with her divine calling. Her unwavering commitment to soul-winning, prayer, and leadership makes her an invaluable part of the ministry team.
Sis. Soujanya
Core Leader
Sister Soujanaya is a devoted, young leader who serves as one of the core team members at The Refuge Mission Church India. As the youngest leader on the team, she brings a unique blend of humility, passion, and prayerful strength to the ministry.
She actively supports both the prayer and worship ministries, and is known for her quiet yet powerful presence in the Spirit. Her journey is a testimony of God’s grace—once an orphan, she encountered the love of Jesus through the ministry of The Refuge Mission Church India, and has been faithfully serving the Lord and His people ever since.
Sister Soujanaya is also a loving wife and mother, balancing her family responsibilities with wholehearted commitment to the church. Her life is a beautiful reflection of faithfulness, healing, and servant-hearted leadership.
